This information is to aid the first time devotees coming from abroad. Haldwani in Uttrakhand state of India is the gateway to both Haidakhan Vishwa Mahadham (where Babaji appeared in 1970) and Anandpuri Ashram at Chilliyanaula, Ranikhet. The office of the Haidakhandi Samaj is also located at Haldwani, and Delhi is the closest airport to Haldwani.
After you land in Delhi, there are 3 ways to travel to any of the 2 ashrams.1) 3 Trains from Delhi to Haldwani
a) 12040 NEW DELHI TO KATHGODAM SHATABDI EXPRESS
b) 15035 UTTAR SAMPARK KRANTI EXPRESS
c) 15013 RANIKHET EXPRESS
After reaching Haldwani you have to hire a cab from the railway station for further travel to any of the Ashrams. You can book your cab for further travel by requesting the Samaj office at Haldwani.
2) Book Taxi from the Haldwani office which can take you directly from the airport to the Ashram. For women devotees travelling alone, this is the most recommended mode of travel, however this option comparatively costs more than the other options.
3) Travel by State Roadways bus starting from ISBT (Interstate Bus Terminal) Anand Vihar, New Delhi - 110092. This is the least recommended mode of transport for women devotees travelling alone.CONTACT INFORMATION
