About Haidakhandi Samaj
During Babaji's time, Haidakhandi Samaj was established with the purpose of creating a commune to live and spread the message of Babaji. The essence of Babaji’s message was – “Selfless service to humanity - is the highest form of karma yoga”, guided by the tenets of truth, simplicity & love.
The Samaj began functioning under the leadership Shri Munnirajji. Under his able guidance the Samaj flourished to spread the name and message of Babaji. Under the aegis of the Haidakhandi Samaj, devotees from India and all over the world converge to celebrate and worship at the festivals initiated by Babaji. The major festivals celebrated at the Ashrams are – Makar Sakranti, Maha Shiv Ratri, Chaitra & Ashwin Navaratras, Guru Purnima, Parthiv Puja and Christmas.
The Haidakhandi Samaj manages the two main ashrams – Haidakhan Vishwa Mahadham at Haidakhan Village and Anandpuri Ashram at Chilliyanaula; and serves the community by providing medical facilities at both the ashrams.
At Chilliyanaula, the Samaj serves the poor of the region by providing free eye cataract surgeries, ENT and dental services through the Shree Baba Haidakhan Charitable & Research Hospital (BBAH).
At Haidakhan, a clinic managed by qualified doctors provides day to day medical care and dental care.
The Haidakhandi Samaj is currently led and guided by its Chairman, Shri Alok Banerjee. The Samaj strives to serve humanity, inspired by Babaji’s teachings.
